The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Overall good, stable condition. The whole with some typical sun-fading minor abrasions and age and construction cracks as expected. The crest-rail with some later peg repairs. The burr-wood veneer with some minor losses and and repair. The seat with later corner blocks. Large repair to top of proper left leg. Some minor scattered areas of old worm holes (now inactive). As noted in the cataloging, the seat incised with a 'V', likely indicating this was once part of a larger set. The later slip seat with late 19th/early 20th century needlework; now with some scattered use wear including snags, pulls and some minor staining. Presents well, ready to place.
