This beautiful mirror presents very well and is a stunning and successful design. The mirror plate is replaced and the backboards are later, and the plate has typical minor scattered losses to silvering, surface marks, and scratches. The whole has been sympathetically re-gilt. There are scattered chips, nicks, and losses to the carving throughout, and there are places with re-carved sections (to address old breaks) and replacements as one would expect for a mirror of this age. Some areas might have later embellishments. There are old metal support brackets around the mirror to add stability, and various old hanging holes. The uppermost finial is possibly a replacement with a small loss to the tip. Overall structurally sound and ready to hang.
