With a clean, complete well-maintained appearance, structurally sound and ready to use; the seat heights and carving with slight variation between chairs. With scattered age and construction cracks, including around most of the joins at the centers of the X-stretchers. Three with replaced back rails. There is some old worm damage, now inactive, to the underside. Each previously with corner blocks, now removed with slight glue residue evident at the undersides. With scattered chips, losses to carving and gilt surfaces revealing gesso, bole and bare wood in areas as to be expected with age, mostly to prominent areas including the knees and scroll feet. The upholstery with marks, faint discoloration and overall signs of wear, as to be expected from use. Overall good condition, ready to place.
