The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

An attractive and very decorative cabinet on stand with the inevitable minor dents, marks, scratches and shrinkage cracks due to age and use. Refreshments to the decoration throughout.

The upper export lacquer cabinet lifts off the base, and is especially beautiful, with a lovely and well-preserved fitted interior. There lacquer surfaces with craquelure throughout, as visible in catalogue photos, and with scattered areas with lifting and small losses commensurate with age. The 'nashiji' border decoration is possibly later or refreshed.

The cabinet base or stand is associated, and is incorporating earlier elements such as the late 17th/ early 18th century monopodial supports, thus it is probably an 'antiquarian' concept assembled during the Regency period. The giltwood supports with scattered chips, rubbing and small losses to gilding commensurate with age, and reveling gesso and bare wood in areas. The base's associated lacquer back panel with some age cracks, rubbing, and losses. The lowest shelf of base has a Chinese export lacquer surface which has significant losses, lifting, and wear, and the back half of it is lacking the lacquer decoration as a a result of a spill.

Structurally stable and sturdy. Overall in good decorative and ready to place condition.
