The ewer baluster-form and chased with sweeping flutes, with rocaille borders to the base rim and neck, applied to one side of the body with a cartouche surrounded by foliate scrolls and roses, further applied with a river god mask below the spout, the angled handle with further scrolling foliage and surmounted by a fully modeled reclining classical maiden, the circular basin similarly chased with sweeping flutes terminating in a rocaille ring at the center, with rocaille border and rim cast with scrolling foliage, marked on underside and neck of ewer and underside of basin
