The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Overall with some minor wear, including to the gilding, gilding probably refreshed, a strong butter color, the cover lacking one small section of scrollwork below the putto, the putto lacking the upper section of the implement held in his left hand and with a split to the wreath held in his right, the thread for the finial reattached to boss on underside of cover, threaded rod repaired, the cover and bowl both slightly out of round, the body with a few very minor bruises, the basket weave section with two small casting holes, the stem slightly pushed down into foot on one side causing the whole cup to lean slightly, also rocks slightly on a flat surface, possibly with replaced internal screws, the foot with a small split and area of restoration.
