Structurally sound, in good order and appearance, ready to use. With typical scattered minor nicks, chips, tiny losses, and small patches to veneers throughout. One leg on the side that pulls out with a vertical age crack at the top of the back, and some cracking at back of the same foot, but it is stable. One ear is an old well-matched replacement. The green baize-lined playing surface on the inside of the table is later replaced, and in good condition and appearance. The top and sides of the table when closed have some slight sun-fading visible in catalogue photographs. Overall a very nice thing, color much nicer than in the published photographs, with very well-carved masks and hairy paw feet. This table made 80,700 GBP when sold by Christie's in 1997.
