The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Overall in good condition. The marble with natural inclusions. With some minor surface wear, small scattered nicks and 'nibbles' to extreme edges, as to be expected. Her drapery with some very minor areas of infill, likely to natural inclusions, and along the edges, well concealed. With a small area of infill on the reverse where mirror would have rested, not readily visible. With restorations to her pinkie finger and thumb on her right hand. With a light build up of surface dirt and some very minor staining. Presents well overall. The model originally conceived with an oval mirror (as shown in 1904 exhibition image). Christie's Sculpture department is available to consult interested parties on fabrication of a mirror for this lot.
