The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

A rare and charming object. In good overall condition, the pump mechanism and articulated wheels moving smoothly, ready to place. With scattered age and construction cracks to the wood components, some age cracks throughout and a few minor losses including two at the end of the base panel. The model overall with general marks, nicks and surface scratches consistent with age and use. Some small losses and replacements to various elements, including two of the flame finials at the top, the nuts securing the larger pair of wheels and possibly other finishing elements throughout. One of the spokes to one back wheel could benefit from stabilizing. The ormolu with some minor surface scratches, slight casting inconsistencies, light oxidation and rubbing, as to be expected; the upper rim most heavily rubbed. As to be expected, there are scratches, scuffs and small losses to the red tole-painted interior. Overall good condition.
