The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Overall good presentation and structurally sound. With scattered age and construction cracks. Overall with general marks, nicks, surface scratches, tiny losses and repairs consistent with age and use. The carving, gilt and painted surfaces with scattered chips, flakes and losses to carving revealing gesso, bole and bare wood in areas as to be expected with age. A fair number of losses to the decoration, with some scattered retouching; could overall benefit from a sympathetic cleaning. Repaired at the cresting on the left side. As stated in the cataloguing, the interiors of the doors are inset with faux-marbled panels; the two upper doors with acrylic panels, some with cracks; one lower door with a glass pane and the other lower door lacking its pane. Some evidence of previous woodworm, now inactive. Overall presenting well.
