The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In good overall condition. The ormolu with some minor surface scratches, slight casting inconsistencies, light oxidation and rubbing, as to be expected. There are a few minor repairs to the openwork above the shade; as stated in the cataloguing, the upper shade adjuster, central stem and arms regilt and possibly replaced, as a result of electrification. As stated in the cataloguing, the lamp is electrified including with modern faux candles; the wiring is tied to the body rather than glued; drilled at the candle-nozzles but not at the underside. The watercolor landscapes generally with signs of wear including rippling, some flakes, losses and inpainting, and yellowing to the paper; generally with a complete appearance; the side with a castle landscape with a vertical split through the castle mound. One of the internal glass panels with a vertical crack, but still stable. The watercolors not examined out of the shade.
