The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In good overall condition. As stated in the cataloguing, the candle-arms are associated, as evidenced by the asymmetric rims of the nozzles to the base candlesticks; the flanges below the removable sections have each been widened with a metal sleeve and possibly weighted. The ormolu generally with some minor surface scratches, slight casting inconsistencies, light oxidation and rubbing, as to be expected. Regilt, with possible signs of earlier mercury gilding. There is some verdigris and wax residue at the nozzle interiors, as to be expected. Overall good, ready to place.
