The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Structurally sound and ready to place. The painted decoration is refreshed with occasional evidence of earlier white-painted decoration, overall with scattered chips, losses to carving and painted surfaces revealing bare wood in areas as to be expected with age and handling; variously with larger flakes to the decoration, mainly at the upper edges. With scattered age and construction cracks, most prominently to the interiors of the basins; each of the interiors has been painted, making it difficult to examine, one with a fair amount of flaking to dry paint. Each basin supported by a screwed-in ring inside the rim, which also supports the liner, and screws into the supports from inside the basins.
