The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In good overall condition, structurally sound and ready to place. Scattered age and construction cracks and some repairs, including to the front two leg joins where glue residue is visible from the interior. A few minor repairs to the openwork aprons, and to the stretchers. With general overall marks, nicks, surface scratches, tiny losses and repairs consistent with age and use. Regilt, with scattered chips, losses to carving and gilt surfaces revealing gesso, bole and bare wood in areas as to be expected with age. With later corner blocks, and evidence of previous corner blocks, now removed. The marble with light scratches throughout and some chips and 'nibbles', mainly along its back edge, consistent with use and handling; some areas of old fill scattered throughout, a well-concealed repair to a break across the short distance. Overall good condition.
