Pile ranges from low to knotheads in most areas to scattered spot foundation in foldwear areas. Scattered reweaves with the largest ones being approximately 4 in. by 2 in. in center of medallion and a 6 in. by 5 in. in lower end of field. A 5 in. by 5 in. patch in upper end of field. Oxidized dark browns. Scattered repiling throughout, most apparent in red ground. Sides re-selvedged and now with some losses to overcasting and detached in areas. Partial end borders; now with later chain stitch missing in areas where there are further losses into the border; recommend securing. Some fraying to three corners; recommend securing. Small reweave to lower right corner. Light surface dirt and sport foundation. Very supple handle, sound fabric, will enhance with stabilizing ends and corners.
