Large shaped rectangular box resting on foot-rim, the waisted sides slightly bombe, chased all over with scrolling foliage and rococo motifs, some raised and interspersed with shaped oblong reserves enamelled in blue with paillons, the hinged cover applied with a bed of foliate scrolls on a royal blue enamel ground, marked in cover: maker's marks twice; later french control marks
