Le tableau a fait l’objet d’un rentoilage, correctement réalisé. Le tableau est sur un châssis emboité.
A l’œil nu, on constate des traces le long des bords dues aux frottements du cadre et des repeints ponctuels ayant viré.
A l’UV, on constate des retouches ponctuelles dans le visage et dans la collerette de la taille d’une tête d’épingle et des retouches plus débordantes dans les fonds, notamment au-dessus du visage du modèle. On constate une bande de restauration le long du bord inférieur. Le tableau est sous un vernis homogène.
Dans un cadre en bois et stuc dorés (approx. 87 x 76 x 6 cm.).

The painting presents very well, with the strength of composition well preserved.
The canvas has been subject to relining, it is held under correct tension and is stable.
In natural light some abrasion can be seen to the canvas edges, the result of previous frame abrasion. There is some minor scattered retouching that has discoloured somewhat.
Examination in UV light reveals minor scattered retouching in the face and pin-head retouching in the collar. There is more extensive retouching to the background, notably above the sitter's head. There is a line of retouching to the lower edge. The varnish is even.
In a plaster and gilt-wood frame (approx. 87 x 76 x 6 cm.).
