The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
Both vases with a network of crackles characteristic of this type of glaze, which does not allow us to determine if some of them might me hairlines, especially on the mouth rim.
The smaller vase:
There are some minute flat nicks to the base.
There are some surface scratches.
The vase is in good overall condition.
The larger vase:
There is a chip under the foot ring.
There is a surface nick to the mouth rim associated with an horizontal 4 cm. long hairline.
There is a minor frit to the tip of a chilong back spike and to an ear of the other chilong.
Both vases with light general age-related surface wear and scratches as can be expected.
