Le tableau a fait l’objet d’un rentoilage correctement réalisé. Si certaines parties sont légèrement tassées, il conserve néanmoins quelques empâtements dans les éléments de broderie.
A l’œil nu, on constate des repeints dans les fonds correspondant peut-être à une déchirure dans le coin supérieur gauche. Le tableau est encrassé et pourrait bénéficier d’un nettoyage.
A l’UV, on constate des retouches récentes dans les fonds ainsi que deux retouches plus débordantes au-dessus de la main droite du modèle et dans le coin supérieur gauche. Trois lignes de restauration sont visibles sous l’insigne de l’ordre de la Très Sainte Annonciade sur le costume du modèle. Sous un vernis vert homogène.
Dans un cadre en bois et stuc dorés récent (approx. 113 x 91 x 6 cm.).

The painting presents very well in natural light, with all the details of the composition fully appreciable.
The canvas has been subject to relining, it is held under correct tension and remains stable. The relining has slightly flattened the paint surface in places, but there is still nice impasto in the costume.
In natural light there is some retouching in the background that may correspond to a restored tear in the upper left corner. The painting carries some dirt and would benefit from a light clean.
Examination under UV light reveals some recent retouching in the background, and an slightly larger area of retouching above the sitter's right hand and in the upper left corner, as previously observed. Three lines of restoration can be seen beneath the medal of the order of the most Holy Annunciation in the sitter's costume. The varnish is even.
In a modern plaster and gilt-wood frame (approx. 113 x 91 x 6 cm.).
