The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Good overall condition.
There are the inevitable minor dents, marks, scratches, shrinkage cracks and rubbing consistent with age and use.
Veneer : There are some shrinkage cracks and restorations with 'gomme laque' paste filling to the tortoiseshell.
There are some discolored areas throughout.
Brass : there are some minor dents especially to the exposed areas of the top.
The gilding of the mounts is very slightly tarnished.
