Overall with some mark, scratches, and small repairs as to be expected with age and use. The bed frame in great sturdy condition. Most of the slats are later. The red fabric with a tear to the top and one pleat has become untucked. The headboard with a stain to the right hand side, the red curtains with a little surface dirt would benefit from a wash.
The mattress and the bed base are in good order, minimal soiling, just a lightly used condition. The painted cornice is in good order, there are some chips to the painted surface as one might expect.The colourful swag with a little discoloration from age, some fraying to the fabric, a few of the pieces are ripped. To some of the rails, there is some scattered old inactive wood worm holes that are not visible when the bed is made up.
