Details
Each on sextafoil base cast with shells and anthemion rising to a knopped and fluted stems and spool shaped socket, with detachable conforming nozzle, later engraved on socket with a coat-of-arms and crest, marked underneath and on sockets, one engraved underneath with scratchweight 42:16
10 in. (25.5 cm.) high
82 oz. 7 dwt. (2,562 gr.)
The arms are those of Guest impaling Grosvenor for Thomas Merthyr Guest (1838-1904) of Inward House, Somerset, and his wife Lady Theodora Grosvenor, daughter of Richard Grosvenor, 2nd Marquess of Westminster, whom he married in 1877.
