Details
The arched pediment centred by a Ducal coronet above a cupboard door inset with a later beveled mirror plate, the interior fitted with three adjustable shelves and three short drawers, the base section with a hinged secretaire drawer enclosing six pigeon holes and assorted drawers, above three graduated long drawers mounted with finely cast and engraved gilt-brass handles and escutcheons, terminating in ogee bracket feet, the sides each with a pair of engraved carrying handles

Provenance
The cabinet with Ducal coronet possibly from Peregrine Bertie, 2nd Duke of Ancaster and Kesteven (1686-1742),
probably acquired by his descendant Lady Charlotte Guest (1812-1895) for Canford Manor Dorset,
thence by descent to the present owner.
