The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In country house condition, the later marble top with a few minor scratches, a repaired crack to the front right edge and a restored break to the front right corner. Some light restoration to the marquetry, further areas of minor loss to the veneers around the escutcheons and to the back legs. The mounts with the expected tarnishing and wear consistent with age and use.
The baseboard lacking board and with severe shrinkage, planks to lower drawer with minor shrinkage. Some glue residue to internal carcass. Evidence of historic, but apparently inactive, woodworm.
As stated in the cataloguing the back left leg is lacking its sabot.
