The single pattern chair in walnut and with laburnum H-stretcher, each with scrolling toprail, above a caned splat and seat with a squab cushion upholstered in brown leather, with outscrolled arms on cabriole legs, joined by a ring-turned stretcher, one inscribed 'Wimborne House' in blue chalk to the underside

Probably acquired by Ivor Churchill Guest (1873-1939), for 22 Arlington Street (Wimborne House), London, then removed to Ashby St. Ledgers Manor, Northamptonshire, where photographed in 2004,
thence by descent.
