The cup and saucer painted with scattered flower-sprays marked with date letter bb for 1779 and with painter’s marks for Michel-Gabriel Commelin, a painter of flowers, patterns and birds, active at the Sèvres manufactory from 1768 to 1802 – minor wear and flaking to gilding.
The cup and saucer with bleu celeste l’oeil de perdrix border, berried laurel, gilt swags and flowers marked with date letter I for 1762, and with painter’s script G mark, probably for one of the Weydinger family of painters and gilders, active at the Sèvres manufactory from 1757 to 1798. – minor wear to gilding
The cup and saucer with deep claret and gilt borders and bands of forget-me-nots, with date letter cc for 1780 and with gilder’s marks for Henry-François Vincent le jeune (later père), active at the Sèvres manufactory from 1753 to 1806 and with painter/gilder’s marks for Antoine Capelle, active from 1745-87 and 1790 and the saucer also with painter’s marks for Pierre Massy, active from 1779 to 1802.
The cup and saucer with pearl borders, deep purple ground painted with floral cartouches, with date letter GG for 1784 and with painter’s marks for Jean-Jacques Pierre le Jeune, a painter of flowers, patterns and also a gilder, active at the Sèvres manufactory from 1763-1800 – small shallow chip to gilding at footrim of cup. Minor wear to gilding and slight surface scratching. The handle broken and requires restoration.
The cup and saucer with bleu celeste and arabesque borders, with date letter bb for 1779 or hh for 1785, painter’s marks for Guillaume Buteux, painter of flowers, patterns and ground colours, active at the Sèvres manufactory from 1782 to 1794 and with gilder’s marks for Henry-François Vincent le jeune (later père), active at the Sèvres manufactory from 1753 to 1806. The saucer with date code gg for 1784 and with the same painter’s and gilder’s marks – some wear and flaking to the gilding.
The cup and saucer with purple stripes and berried laurel cartouches, with date letter dd for 1781 and with painter’s mark for Guillaume Noël, painter of flowers and patterns, active at the Sèvres manufactory from 1755 to 1807. – some wear and flaking to gilding, particularly to the rim of the saucer.
