The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In country house condition.
There are the inevitable marks, chips, knocks and scratches consistent with age and use.
There is fading to the timber to both overall and the mounts are fairly tarnished and would benefit from a clean.
A: There is a split to the left-side of the backboard. Brass bandings are missing to the legs. Brass banding to the left side is pinging and needs fixing into place. Some chips and nibbles to the right side of the middle drawer. Shrinkage splits to the centre of both cupboard doors. Chips to the corners of the marble top.
B: The brass bandings to the legs missing. Shrinkage splits to the centre of both cupboard doors. Large loss to the front left corner of the marble.
The jasper panels to both a little dirty and could do with a gentle clean.
The escutcheons to the drawers are later, probably replacing a central pull.
Structurally sound and ready to place.
