The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Le tableau a fait l'objet d'un rentoilage. Il est sur un châssis rapporté, à clefs. Le rentoilage a légèrement tassé la matière picturale.
A l'oeil nu, on constate quelques craquelures prématurées au niveau du drapé blanc du modèle, ainsi que dans les fonds. On constate également des petits points de retouches sous les arbres à gauche du modèle, ayant légèrement viré.
A l'UV, le tableau est sous un vernis vert, épais, dissimulant les anciennes campagnes de restauration que l'on devine dans les fonds et dans la partie inférieure.

The canvas has been subject to relining, it is held under correct tension on a keyed stretcher and remains stable. The relining has slightly compressed the paint surface.
In natural light, some craquelure can be seen in the white drapery as well as in the background. There are also small areas of retouching beneath the trees to the left of the sitter, which have slightly discolored.
Under UV light, the painting appears under a thick greenish varnish that conceals earlier restoration campaigns, which can be faintly discerned in the background and lower areas.
