Rectangular with canted corners, the cover enamelled in green grisaille with mothers and children in garden, in the centre a column in gold paillons with lady's portrait above a phylactery reading 'Gage d'Amitié', within three enamelled borders and a gold chased frame, the sides and underside engine-turned with horizontal reeding, marked in cover and base with crowned R in script between two palm leaves; on the flange: Austro-Hungarian mark for 20 carat gold in Prague and a French control mark for foreign items
