Details
The case surmounted by a seated bronze female figure of Artemis with her bow and quiver attributes, the stepped rouge griotte marble case applied with garlands and supported on claw feet, the circular dial with Roman chapters, with inscription 'CHARPENTIER / Paris', the twin barrel movement further inscribed 'CHARPENTIER / FT DE BRONZES / 263 / A PARIS';
together with a pair of six-light candelabra, each with bronze scrolling branches supported by central foliate-cast stem, issuing from a baluster bronze vase decorated in relief with a mythological scene of infant satyrs and children, with anthropomorphic masks, applied with swags, on a square stepped base, with further applied swags ending in toupie feet
The clock: 29 in. (73.8 cm.) high; 2112 in. (55 cm.) wide; 9 in. (23 cm.) deep
The candelabra: 3214 in. (81.5 cm.) high
