The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The example surmounted by griffins:
The red marble columns with some nicks and 'nibbles', primarily to the bottom where it meets th base. Some scattered flat chips and losses with associated infill. The onyx with some 'nibbles' to the corners and extreme edges.

The example surmounted by orbs:
The ormolu with light rubbing. The grey marble columns and panels with natural inclusions and light scattered scratches. The white marble with some natural inclusions, and 'nibbles', particularly to the corners on one column. The orbs with natural inclusions and high gloss polished patina.
