The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In original 'country house' condition.
There are the inevitable marks, scratches and shrinkage cracks consistent with age and use.
There is a shrinkage crack horizontally across the top.

Some minor losses to the stringing.
Some lifting and losses to the stringing of the base.
There is some foxing to the mirror.
Some compartment covers with minor losses.
Loss to interior floor of one drawer.
Extensive losses to the original silk covering of one compartment.
One handle to an interior compartment is missing.
Handles appear original.
Vertical shrinkage crack down right side.
Loss to veneer of the apron above front right leg.
Later repaired sections to both back legs.
Some later structural supports on the underside of the chest.
Large shrinkage crack across backboards.
