The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The cover – ram finial with one horn broken and almost completely lacking, the other horn with tip broken and lacking. Some glaze crazing to the body and a firing crack to his left foreleg.
The tureen – one ram’s head handle with tips to both horns broken and lacking and a 1 cm. circular patch of glaze and enamel loss to one eyebrow. The other handle with tip to one horn broken and lacking, a 1 cm. circular patch of glaze loss to the nose with short glaze cracks extending from it and a smaller patch to the eyebrow. Some further small patches of glaze loss throughout, slight chipping to the feet and occasional surface abrasion.
Overall of good decorative appearance.
