The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Overall sound condition. With typical scattered light nicks, faint marks and scratches. The figure with visible joins and seams, some separating slightly but secure, including to both of his shoulders and wrists. Proper right shoulder with old doweled repairs. Possible repair at proper right wrist near the seam. Another restored break to proper left hand. Vacant holes to either side of his hips, probably from the making. Proper left foot with repaired crack. With patch repairs behind each shoulderblade, possibly as later reinforcement. Restored crack around crown of his head and forehead and subsequent small loss to his hair. Heavy rubbing and losses to elbows. The plinth with infilled holes and scattered nicks and marks. Age and construction cracks and some subsequent losses to the foot of the plinth. The globe with scattered dings and nicks to the surface. Areas of rubbing, flaking, and losses to surface revealing plaster beneath. Some areas of infill and overpaint now somewhat discolored. Possibly made to look like aged bronze with verdigris wash. Modern stand with typical light scattered nicks, marks, and scratches.
