Overall with some scuffs and scratches consistent with age and use, would benefit from a good cleaning overall, two teaspoons by different makers and of a slightly different pattern and size, see below for details of marks, the forks overall with some tines not quite straight and even and some tine ends slightly worn down, the fruit forks and fruit knives with some wear and rubbing to both the mother-of-pearl handles as well as the engraving to the blades and tines, as well as some wear to the silver plate revealing base metal underneath, the dinner knives and eight luncheon/cheese knives with stainless steel blades, four luncheon/cheese knives associated, very slightly smaller, and apparently unmarked and with some rust and residue to the blades, the fish knives with silver blades, the carving sets with forks in two sizes and knives in three sizes, the blades and tines in steel and with some rust and residue, the grape shears very slightly loose at the hinge, the knife sharpener with some rust to steel.
The chest with some nicks, marks, and scratches to the veneer consistent with age and use, all three drawers with metal stoppers to the back and lined with green baize, the top two with fitted spaces for the flatware the bottom drawer empty, the top drawer with two extra spaces at the rear, though not accessible when stoppers are used, the middle drawer with an extra space for a second nut cracker, the bottom drawer with some water damage and staining to the baize, throughout with white plastic labels with piece type printed in black, the top drawer with the label ASPREY / BOND STREET. W in black on white plastic, lacking keys.
