The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The painted surface was been sprayed, making it difficult to determine what has been done, but likely due to cover surface scratches which are still visible but muted and have a reddish tint. The spray does not extend to the underside. Please note that Christie's does not guarantee the condition of frames.
