The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Overall with some minor scuffs and scratches consistent with age and use, further with some darker areas of patina throughout, the teapot and coffee pot with replaced composite insulators, the teapot with a small section of loss from the applied centipede to one side and a repair at the lower handle terminal, the coffee pot with a few small bruises to the body at the widest point, a small bend to the tip of the spout, an old repair to right of handle with some excess solder on inside opposite, and a bruise to the foot, the creamer with a repair to the lower handle terminal visible from interior and some excess solder to underside of the everted rim, the sugar bowl with the cover very slightly out of round so it does not sit fully flush when on, also with a small section of loss to an applied centipede, and with a repair to one upper handle terminal, the teacups with scattered bruises, three with handle terminals slightly pushed in but not through, the saucers with some minor bruises and bends to rims throughout, overall generally good condition, nice gauge, rare to have matching teacups and saucers.
The six tea cups and saucers and the coffee pot all marked on the underside with TUCK CHANG and with an ideogram that reads Chün I, Jun Yi, or Kwan Yik, which may either be the name of a retailer or specific maker, the teapot, creamer, and sugar bowl and cover marked with C. J. & Co. and with an unknown ideogram.
