The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In good condition overall. The naturalistic marquetry and skillfully executed. The veneer in good condition, with some scattered minor cracking and light abrasions, and with some very minor surface restorations, and associated infilled repairs, including to the crossbanding to the tabletop. The metal side runners for the top are replaced, and has resulted in a slight gap between the tabletop and base. Each side with a crank mechanism which could have been from original sliding mechanism. With some small abrasions near where the angle mounts sit and some small patches possibly for an earlier stopping mechanism for the slide, not visible when placed. The ormolu with typical scattered light rubbing and oxidation, not extensive, and mounts are regilt. The replaced inset leather writing surface with light wear and scattered light scratches, consistent with use. With THREE KEYS.
