The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
With surface wear and scattered scratches, most notably to the tabletop and to the painted central scene; the tabletop broken in three and professional restored, the Y-shaped break starting 2:30 extending into the center just behind the head of the female figure seated in the foreground, and splitting to form a Y, the lower crack extending slightly at a diagonal and issuing at the rim just to the left of the quatrefoil cartouche of flowers, the upper crack extending in a slight curve through the head of the seated galante at the far left, curving down to exit at 8 o'clock at the rim; the breaks delicately overpainted, the entirety of the surface oversprayed; in some areas the blue overpaint is starting to flake at the rim, the color held in place by the spray; a metal disk applied to the underside to support the breaks; the stand with scattered nicks and small chips to the applied leaves and flowers, several restored; the top and stand secured with threaded metal-mounts, original to its design; stable and ready to be placed.
