The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Overall good condition; with the typical scattered nicks, chips, small losses and flaking to the lacquer; overall with some scattered staining; scattered edge chips and some cracks, particularly to the shelves around each leg join; overall with touch-ups and refreshment to the lacquer and gilt; the cornice with a crack running its width, but stable; the top shelf with an approx. 5 in. crack to the underside at both front corners; the second shelf with restoration at the back left; all cabinet doors with elements later polychrome-painted and with losses to the inlayed decoration; the bottom shelf with two horizontal cracks, each sliding drawer with a vertical crack; the back of the cabinet later stabilized; ready to be placed.
