The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In sound condition and ready to place. With typical scattered nicks, faint marks and light scratches consistent with age and use. With typical scattered shrinkage cracks to the veneers, some light lifting and cracking. Overall with some sun-fading. With some scattered patch repairs to the veneer including to the back left corner of lower shelf. With some restored shrinkage cracks and associated infill, including along either side of the surface of the desk. The ormolu mounts with some rubbing and light wear consistent with age and use. Some of the mounts regilt. The mounts at the top of the legs and the sabots presumably original but not all removed for examination. The mounts on either end possibly old replacements.
