The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In good condition, sound, and ready to place. With typical scattered light nicks, faint marks and scratches, consistent with age and use. The veneer with some small scattered shrinkage cracks and some areas of buckling. The lower tier with a horizontal shrinkage crack resulting in some small losses to the veneer, and some buckling in two corners, one lacking a 1x1 inch piece of veneer. With some further minute losses to the veneer, including to the left-hand frieze. The drawer slightly warped and sticks somewhat upon opening, consitent with age. With some small areas with old, inactive woodworm. The marble with natural incusions and light surface scratching. The back side of the back left leg with a small restoration and associated infill, now somewhat discolored.
