Each colorfully enameled in the famille rose palette with two phoenixes perched amongst weathered rocks, surrounded by large peony blossoms and various other birds, including cranes, perched or flying above, the shoulder decorated with shaped alternating cartouches of scholar's objects and landscapes reserved on a Y-pattern ground, the neck decorated with cracked-ice pattern with flower-heads and periwinkle roundels enclosing insects and further flowering sprigs, each cover surmounted by a blue Buddhist lion finial, comprising a massive single vase and a pair of smaller scale vases
