The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Each in overall good condition; with minor surface wear, scratches and rubbing to the enamels as to be expected; with minor scattered imperfections in the making; one of the smaller vases overall with areas of black scratches, the footrim with two small areas (approx. 1 in.) of loss to the glaze, possibly where it touched something in the kiln; the two smaller vases with a couple small flat chips to the inner mouthrims, not visible when covers are placed; two of the covers with some restorations to the rim; each with its finial restuck, and likely replacements; the larger cover with finial different and overall restored; one of the smaller covers with its lion finial broken and restuck through its proper right leg; presents well as a group.
