Nice scale and form. Very sturdy and ready to use. With general overall marks, nicks, tiny losses and repairs consistent with age and use. Old repaired small breaks, minor losses and signs of infill and restorations particularly to the tops of the armrest supports, where damage from re-upholstering process over the years is typical. The legs with marks, knocks, and tiny losses and repairs to carving. Possible replacements to the ears. Some old inactive wormholes to the rails underneath. Chair A with Bonham's sticker to back: 2469/ 3473. Chair B with a later added sub-frame bearing the inscription, 'sub-frame added 10/85' and a stamp, 'Globe Restoration and Conservation'. The upholstery in good shape overall with only minor wear, fading, and marks.
