The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Each pedestal comprised of four pieces (top, cabinet, base and plinth). Both pedestals with general wear, overall marks, nicks, dents, scratches, losses and repairs consistent with age and use. Age splits to tops and to the tops of the plinths. The veneers with scattered minor areas of losses and signs of infill and restorations. Some areas of dirt accumulation in crevices. Lacking keys.
Pedestal A with patch repair to back of top, not readily visible from the front. Cabinet door with repair to carving on proper right upper corner. Lower interior section of cabinet previously fitted. Patches around locks and lock catches. Small loss to brass Greek key inlaid border at the back of the proper right side of cabinet.
Pedestal B with loss to proper left lower foot above the rectangular plinth, as seen in catalogue images. Repaired breaks to upper proper right brass-mounted acroterion angularium.
