EIGHT CIRCA 1815, FOUR SIDE CHAIRS OF A LATER DATE

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In sound condition. With the typical scattered nicks, marks, and faint scratches. With small dings to edges, primarily to lower part of legs and feet, as expected with age and use. Decoration largely refreshed. The painting and gilding rubbed in areas with some flaking and small losses, including a C form loss to the front of the arm of one arm chair, and with some associated overpainting and restoration. With some restoration ot the pierced chair backs on some examples, well hidden under painted decoration. The upholstery with typical scattered light staining and minimal wear, but well maintained.
