The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas is stable on its support, though slightly loose. The paint layer is stable and under a clear varnish that has slightly yellowed with age. With minor frame abrasion to the extreme edges and surface soiling. With scattered areas of craquelure, mostly visible to the darker pigments. With scattered minors areas of pigment loss, including to the lower right corner. Under natural light, scattered minor restorations and touch-ups are visible. Inspection under ultraviolet light confirms a repaired tear at center to the large wheel that is patched on the reverse. Scattered touch-ups are evident, however further inspection was largely impeded by an uneven varnish. The painting can be hung in its present state and is offered with a painted wood frame.
