The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Generally good order; very minor surface wear; the Chantilly example has a restored chip; the bleu céleste example with a faint firing line in the making to the underside; the blue ground example with a restored chip to one end; sizes below:

The bleu céleste example-- 1⁷⁄₈ in. (4.8 cm.) high, 2 in. (5.1 cm.) wide
The blue ground example-- 1⁵⁄₈ in. (4.2 cm.) high, 1³⁄₄ in. (4.5 cm.) wide
The cobalt-blue example-- 1⁷⁄₈ in. (4.8 cm.) high, 2 in. (5.1 cm.) wide
The Chantilly example-- 1¹⁄₄ in. (3.2 cm.) high, 1³⁄₄ in. (4.4 cm.) wide
