The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Both overall with some minor wear consistent with age and use. The ewer with the saint with a 11⁄2 in. repaired crecent break to the rim just to the right of the handle; further with some minor crazing throughout and fritting to the rims; also with a firing flaw (in the making) on the front below the hill with the cross; with an old sticker to the underside reading 943 / NSK. The ewer with the crown and stoles with some fritting to the rims and edges of the handle and with some minor crazing throughout; with a 1 in. chip to the rim; the handle previously broken at the top, now re-attached but with visible break lines and some minor losses at the middle of the handle and upper terminal; a firing crack (in the making) to the lower handle terminal; with some discoloring to the glaze at the foot rim (in the making); with an old sticker to the underside reading 942 / ETS.
