The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Overall good condition; some minor surface wear and imperfections in the making; the ice cream seller with her left hand reattached through the wrist; a few tiny shallow chips to the base of each.
The model of the oyster seller as illustrated in É. Bourgeois and G. Lechevallier-Chevignard, Le Biscuit de Sevres, shows an additional basket near the seller's feet, but the present model seems to have been made without it-- the area where the basket would have been on the base has nice incised markings and small firing line, so it does not appear to be a damage.
The Ice Cream Seller: 9 in. (23 cm.) high, 6 in. (15.3 cm.) wide, 33⁄4 in. (9.6 cm.) deep
The Oyster Shucker: 71⁄2 in. (19.1 cm.) high, 53⁄8 in. (13.7 cm.) wide, 4 in. (10.2 cm.) deep
